Beginning with her early childhood memories, Melissa recalls an ever-present fondness for experiential exploration and creative expression, creating 3-D and multimedia art with inspiration from the human and non-human natural world. You can often find Melissa toodling her way through the wonders of Rose City. She enjoys being with her family, her cats, her garden, some good music and good food with other people bring her great joy.
You might also see her on a nearby or coastal trail (rain or shine), enjoying the here and now whilst observing the natural world and collecting found objects for art-making as she connects with people along the way.
